Mennonite.net is constantly changing. As technology rapidly evolves, we continuously update ourselves and our services to make sure we’re providing you with the best possible experience. This spring, we’re bringing a few major changes to the familiar organization you know and love:
Mennonite.net has always had a blog section—although it has not always been updated. However, as we search for better ways to connect with our users and communicate new features and technologies, we plan on making regular blog posts to keep you up-to-date on what we’re doing and what changes we’re making. Every time we finish work on some new project—be it an article in our knowledgebase (see below!), new work on our website, a new theme, etc—or have some other information we want to share, we’ll promote it with a post here. We have a lot to talk about, including changes we’ve made in the recent past. Keep on the lookout for new posts, and we’ll also notify you via email (you can unsubscribe at any time!)
Another new development we’d love to share with you is our knowledgebase. We’ll have a full blog post about this in the future, but to introduce it briefly, we’ve created a website where you can go to read tutorials about common things that users often want to know. If you have a question about how to do something on your site, try checking out the Learn database at learn.mennonite.net! We’ll continue to post new tutorials and documents, so make sure to keep it in mind if you have a question.
Driving all of these big changes, we’re redesigning our brand look from the ground up. We wanted to emphasize our merging of the church—and the traditions and practices that are inherent to it—and technology, while building a bold new look to clearly communicate what we do. Our new brand will help drive us and our service forward, while also helping us stand out as we look to attain more users than ever before.
Along with our rebrand, we’re introducing a new hosting level for individuals who are interested in having a personal website, blog, or portfolio. This plan is significantly cheaper than our other plans, and still includes the option for a WordPress installation. For any current customers who think they might qualify for the Individual Hosting level and want to switch, let us know by emailing us at email@example.com!
These are just a few of the new developments we have behind the scenes here at Mennonite.net. Look for more blog posts in the near future for further details on these as well as other important services and announcements.
We’re excited about the next step in Mennonite.net’s evolution!
